World Cup win & Little Blog’s new career

Little Blog has been unstoppable since waking up this morning and discovering that South Africa won the rugby World Cup.

“Just like I said they will!” she crows to anyone who will listen.

She also believes that this heralds a new career: “I can tell you who is going to win anything from now on!”

Now everyone wants to test her.

Little Blog is back

Apologies to all Little Blog’s friends for her absence from her blog. She has had a very busy month, as she believes she has a lot of catching up to do with her big sister, Sunshine. By the time she is six, she wants to learn to read and write, run her own business, and start a school for children younger than herself. Among the subjects she wants to teach, as soon as she masters them, are Winking (and not only Blinking), Riding a Bicycle with Training Wheels, and Explaining What Happens in “The Emperor’s New School”. As soon as she thinks of more things to teach, she will add them to the list. Meanwhile, she has resumed her running commentary on all things to do with all things. Watch this space…


Little Blog, property magnate

Little Blog, Sunshine, Mom and Dad have been playing Junior Monopoly. Every time you buy a property, you put up a lemonade stand on that square, in the colour of your playing token.

This gives Little Blog an idea.

“Daddy,” she asks, “how do you play Monopoly for real?”

“Well, Little Blog, you buy real properties and then you find people to…”

Little Blog interrupts: “I know! I know!”

Little Blog’s career path

Little Blog has finally mapped out her career path. She is desperate to share the news, but wants the entire family to be present, so she waits until supper time. Then she bursts out:

“Do you know what I’m going to be when I’m big?”

Mom takes the bait: “No, Little Blog. What are you going to be?”

Little Blog: “I’m going to be a teacher.”

Dad: “Why a teacher, Little Blog?”

Little Blog: “Because I’ve already got almost everything I need.”

Mom: “Like what, Little Blog?”
